November Activities in Metro Vancouver

Not only is this November providing us with exciting arts & culture events, but it is also the start of Christmas time celebrations! We are happy to share some events that have been adapted to allow us to continue our traditions while ensuring our safety.

DTES Heart of the City Festival 2020 – Experience the annual sharing of traditions, art, and stories of the Downtown Eastside.

Diwali Fest – Downtown Surrey – Celebrate South Asian arts & culture with one of the largest Diwali-themed events in the Lower Mainland, from the comfort of your home!

Lumiere Vancouver – View the interactive art installations that are lighting up the West End throughout November.

Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival – Join this Canada-wide event and be a part of history to view performances by the top talents in jazz music.

Remembrance Day – Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The Royal Canadian Legion has limited gatherings for Remembrance Day to invite-only. To pay respects and honour those who fought and were lost in the war, we encourage you to watch the National Remembrance Day Ceremony live on the Legion’s Facebook (see The Legion website for details).

Harrison’s Lights by the Lake – Experience the magic of the seasons with a fun and beautiful Sasquatch themed display of Holiday lights.

Surrey Tree Lighting Festival – Join the City of Surrey in celebrating the 10^th year of “flipping the switch” to light the City’s 60 ft Christmas Tree!

Burnaby Village Museum Heritage Christmas – Visit Burnaby’s historic outdoor museum for your favourite Heritage Christmas traditions.

Skating at Shipyard Commons – Enjoy a family or friend skate at The Shipyards Skate Plaza against the amazing backdrop of the North Shore mountains.

Christmas on the Peninsula – Visit various venues in downtown White Rock for family-friendly activities.
