CLAYTON HEIGHTS: Soon to be Metro Vancouver’s newest transit-oriented community

With TransLink’s approved expansion of the SkyTrain to Langley Centre, Clayton Heights will host 3 new SkyTrain stops at 184^th street, 190^th street and 196^th street which is located on the Surrey/Langley border. These added stations will be connecting over 62,000 riders from Surrey and Langley to the rest of Metro Vancouver.

There has been a significant decrease on larger townhome product of up to $40,000 in the last quarter reporting the average price of a 3-bedroom townhome at $591,000. The average price of a 2-bedroom condo is $466,000. This means that the predicted corrections in the market are showing their effects on larger product. This creates an opportunity for affordability for moving up families into larger homes. There’s no telling how long these trends will hold before speculators begin to drive the prices up in the future.
