The Partnership Award is an honor reserved for those energy users that have worked with their energy utility system to implement an innovative, energy-efficient technology or solution.
The award recognizes the work Fifth Avenue has done with FortisBC as we work with clients to bring home affordability to our projects through the efficient and innovative use of natural gas.
Most recently we have focused on bringing innovative natural gas solutions to our clients as a way of:
• managing housing affordability for future homebuyers;
• bringing greater value to their clients;
• and increasing energy efficiency in the communities they help build.
Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing has marketed 400 homes in the last year with gas appliances such as ranges, hot water heaters, boilers, fireplaces, and barbeques featuring such names as Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Bosch, Electrolux, an
d Bertozoni. Radiant heat flooring has been installed in some townhouses, with a view now toward hydronic furnaces.
FortisBC and Fifth Avenue Marketing work collaboratively with builders to demonstrate that their housing developments can be better differentiated and sell for more money with natural gas. There have been opportunities for builders to take advantage of FortisBC financial incentives for water heating.
