Fifth Avenue Supports the 1st Annual Lending a Hand Golf Tournament

Fifth Avenue was a Gold sponsor for the tournament and our team of golfers joined in on the action by teeing off for a good cause. Through our partnership with the Joseph Richard Group, we were able to provide gift cards for their silent auction and fundraising efforts. All the golfers also went home with Fifth Avenue branded cooling towels, great for the summer heat!

The Lending a Hand Charity Golf Tournament this year fundraised $58,600 in its first year!

The directors at PHL Capital will match that amount, and Langley Memorial Hospital reported that an anonymous donor willingly matched up to $50,000 towards the Foundry Langley initiative as well.  Lending a Hand was established in the lower mainland in 2015 by the directors of PHL Capital Corp.  The directors at PHL wanted a platform through which they could give back using philanthropic initiatives and community efforts.  They strongly believe in focusing on charities that support at-risk children and youth in their communities, giving them the best chance at success.
