Bringing People Home, Real Estate News, Social Purpose
At Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing, “Bringing People Home” is more than a mission statement—it’s a promise to support the communities we serve.
That promise extends beyond new homes to the furry family members who bring joy and comfort to so many.
Supporting Community Through the Flora & Fauna Give Back Program
As part of our Flora & Fauna initiative, Fifth Avenue pledged a $100 donation to a local charity for every home sold by one of our Realtors. Thanks to our generous developer partners, Tangerine Developments and Sagebrooke, each donation was matched—tripling our collective impact.
We’re proud to announce a $10,000 donation to the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS BC), a dedicated organization serving animals and families across the Fraser Valley. And a $10,000 donation to the Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS). A unique, non-profit, partnership driven society that provides a bridge between community, business, and government facilitating greater cooperation.
Why LAPS BC?
LAPS BC has been a cornerstone in animal welfare throughout Langley, and we were honored to visit their shelter to present our donation in person. Seeing their work firsthand deepened our appreciation for the compassion and care their team provides.
Their 2024 impact speaks volumes:
-
12,000+ lbs of pet food distributed through the Patti Dale Pet Food Bank, helping over 626 families.
-
935 cats and 502 dogs received safe shelter and care.
-
411 animals adopted into loving homes.
-
347 lost pets reunited with their families.
WHY LEPS?
LEPS BC is a leading environmental organization in the Fraser Valley since 1993, LEPS actively partners with local environmental stewardship groups to engage the public in a variety of initiatives that contribute to a healthy community. Working towards enacting our mission of “protecting and restoring the environment through education, cooperation and action” and fostering a balanced approach to sustainable living.
- LEPS provides essential data used in Township of Langley wildlife habitat strategies, laying foundational science for regional conservation initiatives.
- LEPS runs stewardship-education programs that actively involve the community in environmental awareness and actions.
- Their popular “Plant a Row, Grow a Row” initiative provides free seeds to gardeners to grow fresh produce for donation—a strong community health and sustainability boost.
