At Union, no detail has been missed with our award-winning Interior Designer, Samantha Müller from Kleen Studio. Read on to uncover the design process behind these spacious suburban homes and what sets them apart.
Q: What inspires you at Union and its design?
A: Garcha Homes builds communities with beautiful craftsman-style architecture, which inspired us to create warm, inviting, and practical spaces focused on high-quality craftsmanship, natural materials, and simple yet functional design. The surrounding neighbourhood inspired how we approached finding a balance between town centre living and suburban comfort
Q: What sets Union apart from similar townhomes in the area?
A: Hmm…Where do I begin? For starters, we chose rich wide-plank laminate flooring throughout the main floor, giving the homes an elevated feel from the ground up, but with a product that stands the test of time and wear. The gourmet kitchens feature modern flat panel cabinetry, durable quartz stone countertops and stainless-steel appliances. For many families, the kitchen is the heart of the home, so we spent a little extra time designing the space to ensure it was both functional and spacious. With ample room for storage and to entertain the entire family!
Q: Can you tell us more about the colour schemes?
A: You can choose between two colour schemes at Union: Align or Flow. The Align scheme creates agreement and harmony within the home, with a sophisticated tonal look from matte black and soft gray cabinetry and corresponding gray kitchen backsplash. On the other hand, the Flow scheme provides a sense of energized focus and contentment with contrasting wood grain matte black cabinetry and a horizontal stack of airy white tile in the kitchen backsplash. Both schemes were carefully curated to deliver homeowners comfortable, modern, and timeless spaces.
Q: What’s your favourite feature in the homes?
A: I love so many features in the Union townhomes, but if I had to choose one, it would be the attention to detail we’ve paid to ensure a seamless flow throughout the home that gives the feeling you would get in a single-family home. Garcha Homes also offers thoughtful optional extras, such as laminate floors on stairs, upper hallway and bedrooms, air conditioning for those warmer days, and gas BBQ hook-ups to host a gathering.
